Terms and Conditions 

 

 

LKE acknowledges all characters booked have no association with other named brands. 

 

Any costumes seen on LKE’s social media pages or website may differ and cannot be guaranteed for your booking. 

 

Prices are set based on the number of entertainers, their time spent at the party, themed equipment, any costumes, speaker and music, and maximum number of children. LKE reserves the right to change party format depending on circumstances such as size of venue, number of children and children’s response to entertainment. 

 

All of LKE’s 2 hour parties include: 15 – 30 minute set up time, themed backdrop, guest’s arrival time, a break for food (if you do not wish to have this, please speak with a member of the LKE management team to discuss extra options at an additional cost), and 15 – 30 minute take down time. 

 

LKE's Mini Visits and 1 Hour Character Parties do not include the above, nor requires set up time, however your entertainer may phone you once they arrive to organise their entrance. 

 

LKE does not recommend hiring extra activities such as bouncy castles or soft play (particularly for our 2 Hour Parties). These have been found to over stimulate the children and can make the entertainer’s job very difficult in getting their full attention. If you do plan on having them, the entertainer will politely ask to turn them off/keep aside for the first hour whilst they are entertaining (whole time for Mini Visits and 1 Hour Parties). This ensures the children have full focus and prevents the entertainer or parents using up time to coax them back. Less chaos and a smoother running party for all. If you do not plan on following the above advice and you find the entertainer is having difficulty, LKE will not take responsibility. This advice is in place to make sure the party runs hassle free for everyone and your money has been well spent. This does not apply if you have solely booked a Face Painting Package or anything similar such as Glitter Tattoos or Balloon Modelling. 

 

Children benefit the most from LKE’s parties when they only have the entertainer to focus on. Therefore, LKE ask to please keep other distractions to a minimum, whether that be with food (when it’s not the designated break time if you've booked one of our 2 Hour Parties), or other activities. 

 

LKE’s members of staff have extensive training and experience in performing arts, as well as working with children, however no matter how great an entertainer can be, as children can have a mind of their own, LKE cannot guarantee the experience or outcome you may expect. Many factors can play a part in how the children react, such as shyness, distractions, groups of friends, even size/set up of a room, therefore please understand that a lack of focus is rarely the fault of the entertainer. 

 

If you have booked a character package, to help keep the magic alive, and to keep the great reputation of the company, we ask that no other adults are to dress as characters in the entertainer’s presence. If they turn up and other adults are dressed up to a point the children would believe they are a real character, they will ask them to remove them. This also goes with working alongside other children’s entertainment companies that provide a similar service. If an LKE staff member turns up and another company is there, the staff have the right to contact management. This may result in your party being terminated and no refunds will be given. 

 

In addition to the above, we ask all parents to please treat the entertainer (if they are not yet in costume and are setting up) as a separate entity to the character. We have had it in the past where the mum has told the child that their entertainer "is the one playing Elsa", as you can imagine, this not only ruined it for the child, she then told all of her friends, making the party extremely difficult for the entertainer. This really can have a huge impact on how the children react and behave, therefore we urge you to please be vigilant. 

 

Maximum number of children is dependent on your package booked (please see website to confirm). This not only ensures the safety of all children involved, but the majority of parties only have enough equipment for so many. If you wish to have more attend, you must speak with the LKE Management Team. If a member of staff arrives to your party with more than the number of children confirmed, the member of staff may hold the right to terminate the party. No refunds will be given. 

Entertainers can be requested, but not guaranteed. 

 

 

Your allocated staff member will arrive 15 minutes before their start time to set up. 

 

Only the number of children confirmed at the time of booking will be painted/tattooed. 

 

Face painting and glitter tattoos are only available to children ages 3 and up. 

 

Please check with all parents/guardians before they attend if there have any skin allergies the staff member needs to be made aware of. 

 

Any children with visible cold sores, cuts or scrapes will unfortunately not be permitted to be painted/tattooed in that area. 

 

 

Your allocated staff member will arrive 15 minutes before their start time to set up. 

 

All items needed such as sugar/popcorn will be provided by LKE. 

 

The machines must be operated by a member or the LKE team, or a person over the age or 18 only. Under no circumstances can any children operate the machines. LKE will not be held liable for any accidents where children have tried to use them. 

 

 

LKE is a fixed priced company. All prices shown are final and nonnegotiable. 

 

Services will be provided for the timeframe you have given. If LKE’s entertainers or staff members start later than planned due to circumstances such as waiting for children to arrive, or finish eating, they hold the right to finish the party at the time that they were booked. Arrival and break times are included in 2 hour parties and reflected in the price. 

 

If you have any issues with the staff member or set up, you must raise it with them as soon as possible, they will then contact management who will then give you a call to try and resolve things. Alternatively, you can contact management yourself on 07907 696 830. If the LKE management team has not heard from you by the end of the day of your party/event, they will assume everything is well. After this time they will not be able to help, no alternative arrangements or refunds will be given. The quicker you raise the issue, the quicker and better they can resolve it. 

 

You as the host are solely responsible for the behaviour of the children and adult guests. If any members of our staff feel disrespected or threatened in any way, they have the right to stop and contact management, which may result in termination of the services provided. No refund will be given. 

 

All of LKE’s members of staff are Enhanced DBS Checked 

 

Under no circumstances are any members of LKE staff to be left alone with children. 

 

Any damages caused to the property of LKE during the hire period will incur charges to the above-named customer based on the value of loss. 

 

 

If the allocated entertainer/staff member cannot make the party, ie due to illness, a replacement will be sent in their place. If the issue shall arise that a replacement cannot be provided, a full refund of what has been paid shall be given. This includes deposit. 

 

 

Deposits are non refundable, as well as full payments within 7 days of the party. 

Examples of circumstances include: 

Illness of child, family member or guests of party 

Cancellation by venue 

 

In the event a cancellation must be made, LKE management are happy to discuss an alternative date/arrangement free of charge. If you have paid the full amount more than 7 days before the party, only your deposit will be lost. 

 

 

If the party is being held outside and there is a chance of rain, you may wish to think of alternative arrangements such as a gazebo or indoor venue. Please DO NOT attempt to host a party outside if it has been forecast to rain, or strong winds. Not only is there risk to damage of our equipment, it'll have massive impact of the party structure, and may lead to the children's change in interest or behaviour. LKE will not accept responsibility if this has an impact on your party. Your allocated entertainer holds the right to refuse to host the party outside, if you have no alternative, they hold the right to cut the party short, no refunds will be given. 

 

 

If for any reason you need to change the date of the party, you are free to do so free of charge, please bear in mind we cannot guarantee your desired new date. The same terms and conditions as ‘Cancellation by Client’ apply. 

 

 

Changes of venue/time can be made free of charge, however please take into account once the booking has been made, a change may not be possible if other events have been booked in around your party.
